The First week in October for me usually is the start of Autumn, the rolling in of much colder weather, it is usual that there will be a massive rainfall of biblical proportions, sometime in October, last year it was at the end of October, interestingly for us our water level this year has remained pretty constant, that is the first time ever, water quality has also been excellent with a slight blip about a month ago, in the middle of the prolonged heatwave, however the fishing so far this year has been way above average, there has been the odd days when there have been for some reasons, the lack of fish caught, but as far as dry fly fishing this year without a doubt is way above all others, Mr James and his son Brian from Glasgow, visit three or four time every year, described there day last weekend as phenomenal, both catching fish in all areas using hoppers and daddies but crowned there days sport as they switched to muddlers, it was all for fun, describing there time as in bucketloads, to-day saw a much reduced Barries angling club visit, they had a stormer of a day with everyone bagging up and returning many fish all using wet flies and some dries, as well as them saying that everyone had loads of offers, it makes owning and running a fishery very pleasant, as the clients pretty much just enjoy the fishing, angling or Fly fishing as we have here at the \u201cGoldenloch\u201d is not about stockie bashing, as we never tell or inform as to when we stock, the loch or rather the water is rich in natural trout feeding, so guys that enjoy tying there latest flies (creations) have the satisfaction that when they catch fish on them and others arnt catching, then, they got it right, people prefer to be challenged if they are here for a day, not in catching 30+ fish on wotsits snakes or other stuff, yes its nice to have lots of ammunition to use, but eventually people enjoy there day more if  they are having to figure out what to use, at what depth, we believe that we have a very good system here, it suits many, an angler can arrive at any time, drive to within 2 meters of a boat to offload motor and equipment, put the car in a secure carpark, mains toilet, can pay before or after fishing, single or double even treble in boats at the same price per person with no charge for boats, or go bank fishing in the summer when the ground is dry cars are allowed to within a few meters of where the client is going to fish, all this in a very relaxed atmosphere, its all about just going fishing.         <\/p>\n\n\n\n
