Monday morning and yet another flat calm, when will this end, it\u2019s truly a very strange year, the farmers and gardeners must be loving this season as the crops are all very ripe in the fields, but at a fishery this sunshine just makes the fish just go down to the bottom hiding from the sun in the shades, a massive amount of feeding is also in these weeds as can be seen when they are pulled out (small blue shrimp, beetles, snails, pee muscle), but the fish are moving in the water, they do this in the very early morning or late at night when the sun goes down, it used to be in days of old, anglers would be present to catch these fish, but nowadays people are not so keen, only a few and they are the real die hard enthusiastic anglers, so how is it fishing our algae problem is not nearly as bad as I first thought and the weed problem is back under control after a weekend of dragging with the boat and pole, a few names from this week are Rod Thaw a regular having a really great days fishing on Saturday 12 all safely returned, as did Geoff Gadd returning 8, Bill Bruce returning 4 and John Bowman Dundee returning 3 (all bigs), Colin Hay who just enjoys the challenge plus the peace and quiet had 6 returned dropping a further 4  that\u2019s one of the problems with barbless hooks, earlier in the week we had a hard few days when the fish weren\u2019t playing but Jim Wilson and Pete Linton retd Polis had 9 returned using muddlers, George Duff 6 returned and I Graham the same, so the water clarity is improving with visibility increasing to about 4 feet in all its beginning to look normal        <\/p>\n\n\n\n
