{"id":1927,"date":"2021-01-17T08:58:47","date_gmt":"2021-01-17T08:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goldenloch.co.uk\/?p=1927"},"modified":"2021-01-17T08:58:47","modified_gmt":"2021-01-17T08:58:47","slug":"foxes-hard-at-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/goldenloch.co.uk\/index.php\/2021\/01\/17\/foxes-hard-at-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Foxes hard at work"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>\u201cGoldenloch\u201d Fishing Report 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>email: <a href=\"mailto:john@john-nicol.co.uk\">john@john-nicol.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phone; 01337840355, or 07968006367<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3 inches of ice <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>\u201cThe Goldenloch\u201d<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>January-17-01-2021, Fishery Blog, Week 03.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still frosty and frozen, boats are now all out the water, (Lockdown Mk 2 ), ice is everywhere, so pretty much the right time to be closed, had we attempted to keep the ice broken plus aerators, well I suppose we could have kept the ice at bay, but because of our size it would be a nightmare, as the temperatures haven\u2019t been that low, however one morning we did see some of the swans frozen into the ice, this new wave of COVID-19 is a bit frightening, as we are hearing about more and more people that are ill, pre-Christmas shopping looking like the culprit, with the numbers the way they are just now, it would seem that coronavirus is very active, hopefully the next few weeks, will see a big drop in infections, locally we hear about people that have had it, thankfully recovered, it\u2019s a waiting game just now, staying at home can be really boring but its better than getting ill, I go down to the loch in my nice warm car, obviously cormorants arnt a problem this year, because of the ice, typical I have permission to kill and there are none, what clear areas of water there are, have a few fish moving in them, I have noticed some nice yellow bellies at the far end, obviously just looking for grub, but there are definitely a lot of brown trout moving amongst the reeds, Stocking is planned to start sometime in March with a double load, again this will depend on the coronavirus situation, all we can do is wait, it is interesting that the vaccine rollout is happening, don\u2019t know where but a lot of people seem to be getting it, I would like to think by the middle to end of March we will see my age group getting it, that should make life a bit better, but we need to see the numbers drop a huge amount, also those in hospital need to get out without any going in, foxes are trying hard just now and their tracks in the snow are obvious a few pics to show that they are obviously killing something, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our remit has always been since 1986, is that fishing the \u201cGoldenloch\u201d is a day out, a day when a hobby becomes a pleasure, anglers are here to relax, enjoying the atmosphere, no interruptions, in safety with no unwanted background noise, tranquil &nbsp;surroundings, abundant genuine wildlife, Finest quality, hard fighting,&nbsp; guaranteed, boat or bank you decide.
