So much for not much rain, but at least this last week it hasn\u2019t been bitter cold, there has been some new people here in the last few days, they were very pleased with their visit, firstly the crystal gin clear water is allowing anglers the opportunity to see the fish, also the newly arrived but now settled fish are very close to the shores as they are looking for some grub in the shallows, so lots of fish, twisting and turning, also as the days progress the fish are much more active in the late afternoons so catches are brisker then, Ronald Grieve with his pal Stewart, Kilmarnock, had 7 and 5 all returned using very small Consett budgies and cormorant flies, \u201cFantastic Sport\u201d was what they comment was, its been very windy these last few weeks and there is a lot of damage at this end of the loch which will need fixing but that can wait till the better weather, two other newbies J Barlow and B Gilloway, picked a cold day to arrive but both lads enjoyed their visit with lots of fish showing and offering with 1 each returned some heat from the electric fire was required, Archie Ferguson and Derek Wardlaw another two newbies had a 6 fish one on 4 the other 2, as did Sandy Band and A Cuthbert 6 each, using a black and green lure, Harold 6 on Monday as did Darin Taylor on Tuesday, todays pictures and video show a cormorant free water today, for weeks I have managed to keep them off the water, hopefully today I will be able to engage my secret weapon in keeping them away, I am pretty confident that it will work, of course it will Lol<\/p>\n
