Forward planning and a lot of attention to detail makes pretty much a special day for these lads, yesterday, a group of lads that need a wee bit care and help, so the thought was a days fishing, after a lot of organising on the trusts behalf, plus three volunteer buddies from the \u201cGoldenloch\u201d a bit of extreme outdoor angling \u201cSpecial Fly Fishing\u201d was achieved, on what must have be one of the hottest days this year, crystal clear water, which is getting just a wee bit warm, lots of fish, but unfortunately no clouds, \u00a0which meant that the time these guys were here 10 am till 3 pm, pretty much the hardest time of the day if not the season so far, so 1 fish caught and a few offers not to bad considering.<\/p>\n
At the \u201cGoldenloch\u201d we have never have charged for beginners, first timers, if you want to come along and try your hand, just call and if you want a help pre arrange it, as many, many people will vouch for, under 16s must wear some eye protection, if they don\u2019t have sunglasses\u2019 or spectacles\u2019 on, and under 12s must wear a life jacket, apart from that we have everything else.<\/p>\n
The \u201cGoldenloch Fishery\u201d is a Fly Fishing only Stillwater, including a natural 4 acre wetland wildlife conservation area, Located in North East Fife, Easy access to the bank or boats, three wooden Jetties with seating (bum rests)<\/p>\n
A well loved, admired, fully established fly only fishing loch, nestling in the rolling rural countryside known as \u201cNorth East Fife\u201d, It fits snugly in its own small picturesque valley, enjoying pretty much complete seclusion, and that brings to visiting anglers, tranquillity, unrivalled peace and quiet from mobile phones, no traffic, trains nor planes, we are a \u201cPastime Fishery\u201d, purely for recreational fishing, hobbyists, the aim is to come here and just relax, catching a few finest quality fish, Our fish are predominately well naturalised Rainbow trout, a good head of mature Brownies some Blue trout and some Steelheads, in crystal clear water, we welcome everyone, (Seniors, Ladies, Children, and less able) to come and visit, mixing with our resident, wildlife of otters, squirrels, osprey, ducks, swans, swallows, house matins to name but a few, can be either, boat or bank fishing, or a mix of both, it is your decision, feel free if you have a float tube or canoe, fishing is for fun, dog friendly, even child friendly, however under 16s, must wear goggles and a life jacket, which are kept on site for all to use, Expert instructors are available: as is all equipment required, many of past clients are \u201chooked\u201d for life.
