{"id":1184,"date":"2017-12-28T11:49:16","date_gmt":"2017-12-28T11:49:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goldenloch.co.uk\/?p=1184"},"modified":"2017-12-28T11:49:16","modified_gmt":"2017-12-28T11:49:16","slug":"end-2017-begin-2018-happy-new-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/goldenloch.co.uk\/index.php\/2017\/12\/28\/end-2017-begin-2018-happy-new-year\/","title":{"rendered":"End 2017 Begin 2018 Happy New Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Goldenloch<\/p>\n<p>Dec-28th-Week-52-2017<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the end of the year, the past few days has seen some anglers brave the cold, they are a hardy lot, they are determined to just enjoy the remains of 2017, to be honest the fishing just now is really surprising, some really nice fish are being caught Colin and Billy both local regulars, did exceptionally well on Christmas eve, with if I recall 5 each mostly on Diawl Bachs, and of all things a sedge hog, just been out and had a wee chat with another regular, Harold and he is passionate about his fishing especially on a day like today, good clean sharp fresh air, seeing a few fish moving, certainly not rising in the very cold crystal clear water, so I asked what it is that brings him out on a day like today, and his answer was brilliant, \u201c If I was at work and I caught a fish, I would treat that as a result!\u201d he said \u201cBut because I am relaxing and enjoying my hobby, its just about trying to catch a fish\u201d so I said is it that you are experimenting with different flies and techniques or just having a nice day, to which he replied \u201c having only fly fished for over \u00a0a year I think it will be a long time before it all comes together, but every day here is a nice day and catching a fish is only a bonus.
